What we have heard so far…
As of January 2026, 15 youth co-researchers (YCRs) have completed 100 youth-led digital arts-based mapping and interviews with youth across Canada. This brings us over the finish line for recruitment!
Youth participants bring diverse social identities (62% identify as a racial minority; and almost half identify as gender and/or sexual minority, 2S/LGBTQIA+). The majority of youth were 15-24 years, with 20% of youth ages 15-19 years. Just under half of youth (48%) were from smaller urban centres, towns or rural communities.
In October 2025, one of our YCRs, Jalisa, and our project coordinator, Carlie, presented a poster about our project at the Canadian Sex Research Forum (see below)!
